42.Day - Following Leo to "The Beach"

After I had once slept well and ate breakfast, went from there to the beach. For 15h, I've booked a sunset tour to Koh Phi Phi Leh. In a longtail boat and with seven other passengers was our first stop at Monkey Bay (still on the main island of Koh Phi Phi Don), where you see the morning like many apes, just waiting to get treats from tourists. Apparently, the monkeys were already fed up because we have to face, they do not get it from and belongs to time. We also had the opportunity to snorkel in the bay and already very close to see the water a couple of nice fish. Next we went to Koh Phi Phi Leh to stunning reefs and beautiful beaches. First and foremost, of course, Maya Bay, location of the famous film "The Beach "with Leonardo DiCaprio. On Koh Phi Phi is all about the bay. All of them speak and do there. Every night is shown in several bars in the movie and every time many people sit in front and watch the film again. Fortunately, the island is not inhabited, as it is part of the National Park and is under protection. Otherwise it would quickly look the same as on Ko Phi Phi Don. Despite the tsunami and therefore the destruction of much of the island, the leaders have not managed to Koh Phi Phi to be kept clean and clear. Everything is built close together. Far too many package tourists who have paid a fortune in one of the so-called spa hotels to stay. The prices are far too expensive and not justified at all, because neither the beach is so beautiful that it is worth the price to pay, yet the atmosphere in general. Koh Phangan, unlike a lot more to offer, even if it is more for young people but of people milling about so often on the Haad Rin Beach and as older people might on the other beautiful beaches (such as Bottle Beach) resort to Koh Phangan . Conclusion: It pays to have Koh Phi Phi views and to get on the trail of Leo DiCaprio and the beautiful beaches, but due to high prices and poor island management, it is in my view, not the measure of all things.
But now again back to my day trip. Maya Bay to me is that is still running a pretty large lizard on the way, which wanted to ranmachen to some foreign foods. Luckily it was much too slow, otherwise all would have to lie down near the posts quite a sprint to run away from her, because this species can prove to be dangerous. Against 17:30 we cast off and then back on the road stopped at sea by the beautiful sunset seen. Pictures speak louder than words here just! Back at the room I needed for the first time a refreshing shower and what to eat decent. Luckily, I found this little roadside restaurant, where they right before your eyes Traditional Thai dishes also conjure and cook tasty fish. This sight I can not of course take me about 5 € and for a large and very tasty Thai fish ordered and the whole topped off with fresh roasted vegetables in garlic, chilli sauce and rice. Simply delicious! In the evening I enjoyed with a brief visit to the beach party rounded on me to make my last evening in time to bed. Tomorrow we will then Suratthani to Krabi, where the night train to Bangkok at 21h waiting for me.
