Vang Vieng, I had now been exhausted to the limit and put me at 10am in the morning on the bus to Vientiane. Once there, I wanted to be a bit actually explore the city, but did allow a sidewalk cafe and comfortable in what is eaten and wrote postcards. For 18h, I had the drive to Thailand (Udon Thani) concerned that on March 6, my flight from Udon Thani went to Bangkok. Before I put myself to the bus station, I could still enjoy a brief Lao massage.
Udon Thani is pretty ugly and has a lot to offer nothing. Since I have the many memories and moments in Bangkok and wanted to hold on another journey with the camera, I had to quickly get a new digicam. I've been told that in Pantip Plaza (an electronics bazaar) is best. And indeed it was that way. However, it is the density and the massive supply slain on different goods, so that you do not know where to go to. When I finally had accounted for a shop that had a newer model of my beloved Casio Exilim available, I had to negotiate the price. Amazon would have given me the Exilim S10 for 159 €, here I've paid now 175 € including the second battery, case and 2GB memory card, an acceptable price (Casio also offers an international Warranty on). As the Credit Card 2% surcharge would have demanded, I have made myself to the nearest ATM to withdraw money and then got the following message: Your card has been reported as invalid and should therefore be retained! Waaaaaaaaas! What the F ***! This may not be true but which can not retain my credit card, simply, what shall I do now? Fortunately, I was a shop next to the ATM can call the hotline. There it was called until I do I contact my bank in Germany here. No chance, it takes much too long, I have asked someone to come now and the machine opens and gives me the map again. I should point out 3h wait, then they send out a technician who is supposedly me my card back. Well, great sauce. Now I may spend the next 3h here uncertain whether jmd really comes and I get my card back. Have I then lifted once with my cash card money and bought the camera before. Then killed at 19h local time and time again stood in front of the ATM. First 30 minutes nothing happened and I got really nervous. So I again called the hotline, which has vbersichert me that it was jmd road and it takes longer than another 20 minutes. 10min later, then really jmd there has disrupted the ATM and gave me the card back. Puuuhh! Lucky. Half the day was around, but I have at least a new camera and my card again. Then I went to the night market and I have two T-shirt purchased. The evening was of course viewed planning for the Khaosan Road, where I moved through three or four bars and noted with surprise was that everything closes at 2am. Not so bad because I was pretty tired from the trip to Bangkok and throughout the busy day.
