67. to 68. Day - Relaxing in Aucklands nature
always get up early and pull off the tight inspection program is boring. So I'm just in my cave (because my room has no windows) and have been left to sleep out at 11:30 am, after all I do all indeed to relax. The trip to Devenport I have reasons of time, then moved to tomorrow. Today is a beautiful day to just sit in the park and read. Before I did that, I devoted my about 2h Time my own book. Right now I can transfer the entire text messages on my laptop, so I have them digitally and add to my story.
against 14.30 I then made towards Albert Park, and was equally surprised that so many young people come directly after school or university in the Park to relax, to play cricket or in part, to make even their homework. So I brought out the same but white tigers and joined me to read the (intellectually, of course). My purpose scarf has given me shelter from the tickling grass and my backpack was used as a small headrest. It is surrounded by lush and green natural and falls quickly into a soothing and tired mood. A nap of 20 minutes under the tree has not hurt anybody. Oh, I remember the only joke I can call on (but is not racially intended): What does a black man under the tree? A Nigger-chen ;-) The Africans I have met in the park had an entire camera crew with him and have asked many passers-by to dance with them their traditional drum music. Only music has been missing in the park. Just great! Then I found my way into the Internet cafe to search by accommodation in Fiji. All fairly expensive and inconvenient. Usually there is on the small islands only a single resort or hostel and that is equipped with a large room, are in the 30 beds. So you share a huge hall, I guess times. Cost about $ 40 per night. I have therefore decided not to book in advance and I just decide on the spot. Maybe I'm so, how Tyron has recommended that the locals under, are not the cannibals eat them for so long and I do not ;-)
The evening has come to an end with an action-packed movie on the laptop.
On Thursday, I once washed laundry and further in time to write my book. Against 12.30, I then left the hostel and made me the harbor. The ferry to Devenport has filed for about 10 minutes later 13.30Uhr and was already there. Devonport is part of the North Shore, so to the peninsula north of Auckland and is to be compared with Veddel in Hamburg, but much nicer. There are two viewpoints, Mount Victoria, I climbed first and get a fabulous view over the center of Auckland. At this height, you could stay but are also very good and do nothing. I have also made and then used my white tiger to the side. Then I went back down the path and I have made along the coast to Cheltenham Beach. Old houses with sea views, right on the beach and make life truly worth living. A beautiful apartment or a nice house in Hamburg, although much value, but a house near the sea (including clear Water and sunshine, or else come first and say they had a house at the Timmendorfer beach) is like nothing. At some point I would also like to have such a house. Okay, enough dreaming, because at the end of the Cheltenham Beach is reached via a few stairs to the second view point: North Head. Again, the views fantastic, and once again welcome addition to Auckland City and a good view of the Cheltenham beach. A few relaxing moments later I was then made to this beautiful afternoon back to the ferry and went to Auckland. Arriving at the pier I had to remember that there is a restaurant with a special offer for the Mojito Thursday evening. So go down there, and immediately ordered a Kiwi Mojito (for € 3.20). Since my food supply was assumed in the hostel, I ordered the same delicious fish with it. Finally, we are still here on the coast and there would be a shame if you do not try the delicious fish. I've chosen red snapper with tomato and creme fraiche and sweet potato sticks with nacho chips. The latter was a real novelty for my taste, but has not quite hit my preference. This was the fish itself the better and well worth (about 12 € for a large portion. In Hamburg, you pay for red snapper at least 25 €).
right, with a full stomach, I I now for the last time the Queen Street (the main street in the center) high made me and go to the hostel. Did you know the way, that live in Auckland 1.4 million people. They are about 35% of the total population New Zealand, as the whole country live about 4 million people. Furthermore, approximately 30% of firms and jobs of the total land in Auckland. So here is something powerful going on. But do not worry. In Hamburg, the city eyes, or rather the center, not so big and it can be rather quiet and comfortable living here. So, now is immediately packed up and maybe watched some DVD, for tomorrow at 12 o'clock my flight goes to Nadi on the Fiji Islands.
