61. to 64. Day - Great hospitality in lovely Sydney
I really wanted on Wednesday in the Sydney Explorer (Tour Bus, as our Double Decker) and share and explore the remaining spots in the city. Unfortunately, the weather was not too good with me. I had already checked out the hostel and my bags left there for storage, so I left just dared himself again through the city. With rain and wind I almost spatzierte the harbor and the Harbour Bridge in length. 3h later I am already back to the hostel made in order to surf the Internet and my accommodation To book in New Zealand. 16h to me then Nick has picked up and we are together for Ashfield, a suburb of Sydney (about 15 minutes by train to Sydney, so to speak, such as Hamburg-Harburg) down. I once ensconced in the living room. Nick also has a roommate (Lana), but I also know from Iran yet. Lana came home from work the evening is over and we went together some food. Have kindly invited me to two. The next day, Nick had to work, but Lana had only a late shift at the bookshop where she works. So we (pronounced Bonday) jointly made to Bondi, where one of the beautiful beaches of Sydney's hidden. The kangaroo burger, we have not eaten. I had my say, however, that some types of Kangeruhs probably make some problems, multiply very quickly and penetrate almost like invasion in the cities of so many end up on the plate. At Bondi Beach was beautiful weather and we could look first to the many surfers riding waves. Then I got myself in a small wading pool dared to once again taste a little salt water. After a small sandwich at Bronte Beach Lana even been known to go to work and I was the last hour alone chill on the beach. The trail along the coast I have enjoyed with very many photos. Bondi Beach has a very popular café, Iceberg, it has directly an artificial pool the ocean, filled with salt water. At that time the most powerful Australians in the cold, almost frozen in this pool have swum, so Iceberg.
Before I moved back to Ashfield, I'm still in the shopping center in Bondi made stop and bought some wonderful set things to wear. I'm still in the U.S., but sometimes you see something somewhere, then think: "Oh, I get in the U.S.," get it and not annoyed. So I'm just struck. Lana slept the next two nights with her friend in Bonid because their work was just around the corner from the living room so I could go in her room. On Friday I had
finally placed in the Sydney Explorer, but not really seen much new that I had already inquired most on foot. On the evening I met Nick and his friends at the Opera Bar. Then we were eating something else.
Saturday was another beautiful sunny day, at least up to about 16h. Against 12am we have put ourselves on the Paddington Market, a small flea market with many small items Schnullepups ;-) Then we are with Nick's car drove to Manly, another beautiful beach in the north of Sydney. Manly got its name from the former James Cook's conquest. When he came to the coast, the very large number of Aboriginal people stood at attention and ready to fight back, so that the conqueror assumed that they must be very manly (manly) have.
on Manly Beach, we went actually into the refreshing water. God was beautiful. Large waves, clear water and sunshine. Only body surfing and then a little to lie on the beach before we look at a fresh fish counter Fish and chips purchased. At first sight, Australia is very expensive. Candy bars cost nearly 2 €, 6Eier cost about 2 €. But if you know the right corner and the right order, then it is quite normal. Our riesiege serving (firscher) fish and chips has cost 12 Australian dollars, which are € because of the good exchange rates 6. For 6 € you get no such Portion in Hamburg, especially at the port.
According to the relaxing beach trip, we rested back home and have a little bit before the last night at Nick's sister, with delicious risotto and DVD have spent. Thanks to Lana and Nick were the last four days in Sydney very relaxing and I hope at some point in Hamburg also be allowed to receive. Tomorrow it goes to New Zealand, Auckland.
